Rich Gottbreht is many things; highly experienced, multi-disciplined, a business leader-turned global thinker, author, corruption fighter, practical economist, business board game designer, and seminar creator.  It is these qualities that make him a passionate believer in the absolute need for a strong US economy. 

Rich’s drive to make such dramatic changes in his life came from living and working in one of the most corrupt countries in the world, Indonesia.  During his time in that country, he witnessed, first hand, a massive economic collapse caused by organized corruption carried out by business and government leaders.  During the collapse, Rich watched from the top of a six-story building as this city of over ten million people burned in all directions.  According to the government, over 500 people were killed in just 3 days, and more than 2000 women and children were raped – the youngest was eleven.   This one experience changed his whole world.  It also makes Rich one of only a handful of business people to have managed through, and witnessed first-hand, a massive economic collapse.

Rich went on to found Global Insights Education, LLC. And Global Insights Consulting, write a book, create a board game and developed seminars designed to help business people perform better both at home and abroad.  As a part of all this, Rich attended global anti-corruption seminars and met experts from many different countries who validated and enriched his business and economic conclusions.

His book, Corruption Arts in Third Word International Business, details how corruption is carried out by the involved parties, and how that corruption impacts a country’s people and its economy.   His fun and exciting “reality” board game, Xemorpheum®, is used to educate players about how Third World Countries actually operate.  His seminars utilize the board game to focus on doing business with/in Third World Countries, competing against them, and the global issues involving corruption and business such as climate change. 

As Rich now believes that our country is on the brink of an economic collapse, he recently added consulting services on economic recovery planning and implementation.

Rich’s most significant learning from his personal and business experience was that neither the US government nor any of its individuals or businesses can change foreign countries, or the businesses that operate within them.  “At the end of the day, our best direction is to keep every sector of our own economy and business strong and growing, protecting them from the world that is out there, and hope that other countries will solve their own problems.”

Before founding Global Insights, Inc. Rich was a Senior Operations and Technical Executive with extensive domestic and international experience in the development, operations, and maintenance of large technology based companies. He has a long list of successful accomplishments in the areas of in customer service, technology deployment, information technologies, network management, and disaster recovery.  More importantly, Rich is known for his highly effective leadership style with proven ability to meet or exceed operations and financial expectations while promoting teamwork, results focus, and people development.

Rich Gottbreht holds an Executive Masters of Business Administration Degree, a Bachelors Degree in Management, and an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts, all with highest honors and all from well respected universities.   Additionally, he has equivalent experience and education to a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology Management.  

Rich enjoys skiing, golf and scuba diving in his spare time.
